Najwa, an Arabic name that evokes the allure of a secret conversation, is nestled on the first floor of Riad Hikaya, offering picturesque views of the main courtyard and pool. The room’s focal point is a unique bedhead, or ‘muqarnas’, intricately made from hand-sculpted plaster by skilled ‘plâtrier artisanal’. The ambiance is further enhanced by traditional, handcrafted Moroccan lanterns, whose light can be dimmed to cultivate a romantic atmosphere.
The room is wrapped in warmth, thanks to cactus silk curtains and rose-colored tadelakt walls. Complementing the cozy feel are Berber carpets, traditional shutters, and custom-made furniture combining cedar wood and kelim. While Najwa is one of the more intimate double rooms in the Riad, it offers the flexibility to be transformed comfortably into a twin room, ensuring a versatile and charming space for guests.
