Riad Hikaya offers eight double rooms all with private en suite bathrooms and all furnished to the highest standard possible. Each and every piece of furniture has been handcrafted specifically for Riad Hikaya by local Marrakshi artisans. The ambience is one of tradition, elegance and timelessness, complemented by 21st century comforts.

Named after the Arabic word for love, ‘Hubb’ is a charming room nestled on the ground floor of Riad Hikaya, a luxury boutique in the heart of Marrakech. This room gracefully opens onto a serene pool area, creating a tranquil oasis. At the center of Hubb, the focal point is a majestic canopy bed, adorned with traditional ‘shwissiyaat’ – ornate tassels – adding a touch of romantic elegance.
The room is further embellished with authentic vintage Berber carpets and exquisite Moroccan wedding tent fabrics draped along the walls, contributing to its rich and luxurious ambiance. The spacious en-suite bathroom is a haven of relaxation, featuring a large monsoon shower and an artisan-crafted copper bath, promising a bathing experience that epitomizes indulgence and opulence.
Hanan, named for the Arabic term symbolizing sympathy, is a delightful room situated on the first floor of Riad Hikaya. Overlooking the elegant courtyard and pool, Hanan offers a serene view that captures the essence of Marrakech’s charm. The room features a beautifully hand-sculpted wooden bed, crafted in the Berber tradition, and is crowned by a richly upholstered canopy adorned with traditional ‘shwissiyaat’ tassels, enhancing its romantic atmosphere.
The ceilings, meticulously hand-painted, along with the mood lighting, contribute to the room’s enchanting ambiance. Karama, which translates to dignity in Arabic, is a beautifully proportioned double room at Riad Hikaya, featuring a spacious and intricately decorative bathroom. The room is adorned with a zowwaq painted and hand-sculpted ‘muqarnas’ bedhead, showcasing traditional geometric patterns. This is complemented by a canopy crafted from desert silk, muslin, and ‘shwisiyyaat’ – graceful hanging tassels – infusing the space with a romantic and theatrical ambiance.
The luxurious feel of the room is further enhanced by antique carpets and elegant velvet chairs. The bathroom is a masterpiece of design, boasting a hand-painted, mirrored feature wall that adds a touch of opulence. Ikhlas, named in honor of the Arabic word for sincerity, is a beautifully appointed room situated on the first floor of Riad Hikaya. The room features a handcrafted golden canopy bed, adorned with ‘shwissiyaat’ tassels and traditional fabrics, adding a touch of warmth and romance to this light-filled and spacious area.
The room’s ambiance is enhanced by the smooth tadelakt walls, complemented by antique Berber carpets, shimmering copper mirrors, ornate zelij tables, and a distinct copper sofa upholstered in ‘desert silk’, a unique fabric derived from a cactus plant indigenous to Marrakesh. The stylish bathroom is a retreat in itself, boasting hand-painted zowwaq walls, a striking red zelij floor, a beautifully sculpted tadelakt and zelij shower, and a handcrafted bath made from maillechort or nickel silver. Sharaf, named after the Arabic term for honor, gracefully occupies a space on the ground floor of Riad Hikaya, leading into the enchanting, mirror-lined smaller courtyard. As the largest room in the Riad, Sharaf boasts an exquisite antique Berber door that beautifully harmonizes with the handcrafted wooden bed, fashioned in the Berber style. The walls are adorned with hand-cut zelij tiles from Fes, lending a regal touch to the room’s decor.
The tadelakt walls are embellished with cactus silk curtains, adding to the traditional elegance alongside the shutters, while the carved ceiling features intricate Zowaqq hand decoration. The room is further accented by two sumptuously comfortable cactus silk armchairs and a refined copper desk, enhancing its luxurious ambiance.
The bathroom is a masterpiece of design, with hand-painted and zelij-tiled detailing. It features a silver monsoon shower and a sunken tadelakt bath, offering a truly opulent bathing experience.
Rahma, deriving its name from the Arabic word for compassion, is a serene room located on the first floor of Riad Hikaya, with views overlooking the intimate, mirrored courtyard. The room features a traditional bed made from tadelakt and zelij, elegantly framed by a hand-carved ‘muqarnas’ bedhead, adorned with a detailed zowwaq finish. The tadelakt walls are draped with cactus silk curtains, which beautifully complement the artisanal wooden shutters.
The room’s charm is further enhanced by hand-painted plaster motifs, cozy kelim armchairs, and authentic vintage Berber carpets, all contributing to its luxurious ambiance.
In the bathroom, guests are invited to unwind in a sunken, hand-painted tadelakt bath, or enjoy the refreshing spray of a monsoon shower, exquisitely crafted from zelij and maillechort, a metal highly esteemed by Marrakshi artisans and known in English as nickel silver. This space is designed for ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation.
Amal, translating to hope in Arabic, is a beautifully situated room on the first floor of Riad Hikaya, offering a charming view of the smaller, mirror-lined courtyard.
The room features a majestic king-size bed, which is adorned with a traditional canopy crafted from cactus silk and muslin, embellished with ‘shwissiyaat’ hanging tassels, creating an aura of elegance and comfort.The room is made cozier with soft kelim armchairs, vintage carpets, and an exquisite antique silver writing desk, all contributing to a warm and inviting atmosphere. A standout feature is the large teardrop-shaped tadelakt fireplace, which becomes a focal point of comfort and romance, especially during the cooler months when our staff can light a log fire for you.
The bathroom, spacious and well-appointed, is finished in tadelakt and zelij tiles, exuding luxury. Guests are invited to indulge in a deeply relaxing soak in the grand copper bath or enjoy the lavishness of a monsoon shower, making it a perfect space for unwinding and rejuvenation.
Najwa, an Arabic name that evokes the allure of a secret conversation, is nestled on the first floor of Riad Hikaya, offering picturesque views of the main courtyard and pool. The room’s focal point is a unique bedhead, or ‘muqarnas’, intricately made from hand-sculpted plaster by skilled ‘plâtrier artisanal’. The ambiance is further enhanced by traditional, handcrafted Moroccan lanterns, whose light can be dimmed to cultivate a romantic atmosphere.
The room is wrapped in warmth, thanks to cactus silk curtains and rose-colored tadelakt walls. Complementing the cozy feel are Berber carpets, traditional shutters, and custom-made furniture combining cedar wood and kelim. While Najwa is one of the more intimate double rooms in the Riad, it offers the flexibility to be transformed comfortably into a twin room, ensuring a versatile and charming space for guests.
